The Struggle

I watched a video of a dad talking to his little girl after cheer. She told him ‘I’m not brave, Daddy. I’m scared.’ He told her she could quit anything she didn’t love. But she couldn’t quit because it was hard or because it was scary.

Your brain was actually built for hard things. The dopamine doesn’t come at the finish line. It comes during the climb. When your mind is working, figuring it out, pushing through. That’s the reward. The struggle isn’t the price. It’s the prize.
