Visibility Is Responsibility

I used to run in the dark without lights. I could see… so I thought that was enough. It wasn’t.

Running safely at night is not about your vision, it’s about theirs. When someone sees you at the last second, they panic. They swerve. Their heart rate spikes. You might avoid contact, but you still create risk. And you may have just ruined their morning.

Early runs are quiet and powerful. But darkness demands responsibility. A reflective vest. A headlamp. Simple gear. Good tools reduce friction and protect everyone on the road.

Safety is not just personal. It is shared.

Lute’s Challenge: If you run in low light this week, wear at least one piece of visible gear and make sure you are visible from a distance.
